Napier Newsletter - Edition 1

Welcome to our first bi-annual newsletter we wanted to share where we have been and what is coming up. We hope you like it do let us know.

We love to travel – who’s been where?

Maureen Halbert

Maureen is recently back from her 2nd trip to the USA and with great fares why not go as much as you can. She also did a Princess Cruise from LA to Mexico with her children and her husband in a wheelchair.  Plus she has been in Fiji travelling around the Mamanuca Islands.

Top Tips:

  • Cruisingif you are a heavy user of data/internet I recommend buying an internet package on board. I tried to keep a track of costs and time used as I am active online daily. A package would have saved me time and money.
  • Fiji - if your holiday includes children pre-buy the meal plans it’s cheaper than a la carte and saves having to pull out your wallet all the time.

Cynthia Dorsey-Jackson

Cynthia has also been to the USA and more recently to Laos which she enjoyed and she found some amazing bargains. She especially loved the Kuang Si waterfalls with their amazing crystal clear pools of water cascading in a beautiful jungle setting.

Top Tip: be sure to try a Laotian style coffee – desert in a glass!

Danielle Caldwell

Danielle has also been to Laos and then mostly recently to London & Paris on a Monograms trip. She spent her birthday in Paris doing a bike tour which was lots of fun and she thoroughly enjoyed the Moulin Rouge which is in her view not to be missed.

Top Tip: I highly recommend 3 to 4 nights in Luang Probang, Laos combine this with Vietnam and if time permits Cambodia as well.

Viv Blackmore

Viv is just back from the helloworld Travel managers conference in Melbourne which she found has changed a bit from her last visit in the 90s! She went a day early and loved the alleys and arcades walking tour and had a hard time deciding which fantastic restaurant to eat at. She added on 2 nights in Hobart and thought Mona was pretty amazing. It’s billed as the museum of everything and lives up to its name.

Top Tip: with not much time I was pleased I pre-booked the tour and planned what I wanted to do before leaving home.

Of course you know that we give you Fly Buys on your bookings but did you know that you can also redeem your Fly Buys with us as well?

You can then use them to pay or part pay for your booking with us or use them as a Gift Card for someone else.
